You're getting on with things.
Work. Family. Decisions. Other people needing you. The never-quite-finished list in your head.
And most of the time, you manage it.
The Shift is six weeks of simple breathing practices and support to help you create more space, feel steadier and have more choice in how you respond when life is full.
You don't need to be good at breathwork.
You don't need a perfect morning routine.
And you definitely don't need another thing to keep up with.
But managing everything and having the capacity for it are not quite the same thing.
This isn't about adding more to your day
One of the things I heard during the first round of The Shift was...
But behind what?
There's no breathing exam at the end!
“I'm a bit behind.”
Life will happen during these six weeks. You'll have busy days. You might miss a practice.
Some days you'll have five minutes. Some practices you'll love and others might not be for you.
That's all part of it.
Because the aim isn't to complete 30 breathing exercises.
It's to gradually discover what helps you, and to have a few simple practices you can reach for when you notice the tension building, your head won't stop, you're feeling stretched, or you simply need a bit of space.
What happens over the six weeks?
Monday to Friday, I'll share a short practice with you in our private Telegram group.
Most take only a few minutes.
I'll explain what we're doing and why, and we'll build gradually through these three themes that build upon each other as we go:
Regulation
Noticing your breathing, recognising what's happening in your body and having simple ways to find some steadiness.
Recovery
Learning ways to pause, release some of what you're carrying and give your body and mind a chance to recover.
Resilience & Capacity
Taking what you've learned into everyday life so you have more choice in how you respond when things get busy, difficult or unexpected.
There are no new practices at weekends. Repeat something, catch up if you want to, or take the weekend off.
You'll also have access to a simple reference library of the key breathing practices so you can return to them whenever you need them.
What started to happen in the first group.
This isn't about becoming a different person.
It's about small, real changes in how you respond to the pressure that's already there.
And during the first six weeks, those changes started showing up in all sorts of ordinary ways.
“I was really surprised by how quickly I noticed I was clenchingmy jaw without even being aware of it." - Simonne
“I physically felt my body (my back) give in and relax!” - Marie
And sometimes the change was something that became noticeable over time.
“Over the 6 weeks, I noticed how amazingly beneficial those 5–10 minutes were. Then I noticed the difference when I didn’t give that time to myself!” - Lucy
Small things. But things they were noticing in their actual lives.
More than a library of breathing audios
You can find free breathing exercises all over the internet.
The Shift is different - there's a reason we spend six weeks together.
You're not just learning techniques.
You get my guidance and support so you grow as you go through the weeks. There's space to ask questions, share what you're noticing and learn alongside other people who are doing the same thing.
We repeat practices and they become familiar.
Repetition is where the shift begins.
And gradually, you're not waiting for instruction.
You begin to notice what works for you.
“I did the alternate nostril breathing today - I chose it because I’ve noticed it does make me more alert and energised.”
“I used the library this morning to help me decide what I wanted.”
Thea
The daily interaction matters.
Lucy described the “human connection and support” as one of the reasons she wanted to continue.
And Lyn summed up another part.
“I love the simple explanations & ease of doing these exercises.” Lyn
By the end of the six weeks, I want you to have more than a collection of breathing practices. I want you to notice sooner what you need, know what helps, and have something you can actually reach for when life gets full.

A little bit about me

I'm Judith Rayner, a coach and certified breathwork practitioner, and I've been coaching people for more than 15 years.
My work brings together breathwork and coaching to help people create more space - not by pretending life isn't demanding, but by changing how we meet some of those demands.
I created The Shift because I wanted this work to be usable.
Not something that only works when you've got half an hour, a quiet house and absolutely nothing else going on.
Something you can actually take into Tuesday morning.
